About me

Hi, I’m Lucy.

I’m a lawyer by trade, but swapped careers to government policy because being a lawyer was simply too serious for me. I wanted to spend my days laughing, chatting to people and creating something super special - so why not become a celebrant!

I currently work full time with celebrant-ing as a ‘side-hustle’. In my spare time you can find me enjoying the same hobbies as my 91 year-old grandmother; baking, gardening or reading. You might even be lucky enough to spot me out with my husband or friends, or taking my Labrador, Spud, for a walk.

HOWEVER, my ultimate goal is to make your day about you (not me!), so contact me to see if the vibes are right for your day!

How it works

Step 1

Let's meet! In this initial conversation we will work out if you are eligible to marry in Australia, what your vision is for the day and what all the legal bits are. After this, you can let me know if I’m the celebrant for you!

Step 2

Yay, you’ve locked in your date with me! Now we can sort out your Notice of Intended Marriage form (this needs to be completed at least one month before your wedding day), find out a bit more about you as a couple and get to writing the script!

Step 3

There’s no real need for a rehearsal but if you want one I am more than happy to accomodate! Alternatively, we can catch up over a coffee or a drink the week before your big day and run through your ceremony - rest assured, I will make sure you and your bridal party are standing in the right spot on the day.

Step 4

LET’S GET YOU MARRIED!!

Step 5

I’ll register your marriage with the Births, Deaths and Marriages registry in the state or territory you were married in. I’ll let you know when the marriage is registered and you can hop online to order your BDM issued certificate - if you’re changing your name, this is what you will need!
